Prickly Pear Extra Jam by Cascina Bonfiglio is made with fichi d'India, the signature fruit of the Sicilian countryside, in a 280 g jar. Made by the Bonfiglio family in Sicily.

Prickly pear grows on the hedges between fields all over the island and is a nuisance to pick, which is why so little of it leaves Sicily. Almost nobody outside the island has tasted it as a preserve, and the flavour surprises people: floral, mild, closer to melon than to pear.
